Whether it’s a birthday party, shower, family reunion, company picnic or a meeting, one of our 13 fieldhouses, conveniently located at parks throughout the district, can be the perfect setting for your next event.

These quaint, cabin-like brick or log structures may be rented whenever they are not being used for park district and/or partner programs. Fieldhouses are not air conditioned (except for Willow Park Fieldhouse). Click on the park name below to see fieldhouse photos and park descriptions.

Fieldhouses are unavailable for rental on the following days:

  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’ Eve
  • New Year’s Day
  • Election Days
  • Day before Election Days

Special Notes:

  • Johns Park fieldhouse is unavailable July 4
  • Flick fieldhouse is not available during outdoor pool season
  • Flick, Swenson & Richardson shelters on available Apr 1-Nov 30

  • Currently accepting rentals through 9/12/24. Residents and nonresidents may begin renting fieldhouses for dates 9/3/24 through 4/30/25 on this schedule: Recognized Organizations 7/3/24, residents 7/10/24 and non-residents 7/17/24.
  • Only one event per fieldhouse/day is permitted.

rates and deposit information

The following rates are in effect for rental fees and security deposits. All fees may be paid with cash, personal check, Mastercard, Visa or Discover Card. Personal checks will not be accepted less than 14 days before the rental date.

Reservations must be made in whole hours. 1/4 hour or 1/2 hour increments will not be accepted.

Note: Prices are subject to change for reservation dates beginning 5/1 and after. Pricing is based on the reservation date, not the booking date.

To Reserve a Fieldhouse:

  • Requests may be made in person at Park Center’s front desk, 2400 Chestnut Ave., at least one week in advance of their desired rental date. Please call 847-724-5670 for hours and more information.
  • The security deposit and rental fee must be paid at the time the reservation is made
  • Businesses/Organizations must provide authorized approval, on letterhead, at the time of booking. Please call for questions, 847-724-5670
  • Fieldhouse keys may be picked up the day of the rental at Park Center’s front desk. Please call 847-724-5670 prior for current pick up hours.
  • Glenview Park District reserves the right to relocate a rental to another fieldhouse due to programming needs.
  • Renters can’t exceed capacity, which is based on state guidelines at the time of reservation.

rental rules and regulations.

  • Alcohol, inflatables, loud music, laser tag, dunk tanks, stakes in the ground, paint ball, pony rides and P.A. Systems are not permitted in any park or fieldhouse. Other exclusions may apply.
  • All hired services must be approved prior to rental date, including vendors, entertainment etc.
  • Certificates of Insurance must be provided for all approved vendors coming on site of the fieldhouse once approved.
  • Portable grills are prohibited.
  • Renter must be present with permit throughout entire rental.
  • Renter may only access the fieldhouse during their reserved time.
  • Only one event per fieldhouse/day is permitted.
  • Fieldhouses are reserved in hour increments only.
  • No drones are allowed at any park district property.
  • Failure to comply with any rule will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.
  • Park areas are not included in rental, they are open to the public. This includes play lots, open space and sport fields/courts.

group size limits/picnic permits

  • There is a maximum group size limit for each fieldhouse and picnic area. Exceeding the limit is grounds for forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Groups of 10-30 requesting to have a picnic must obtain a picnic permit (see fee chart) at Park Center. Picnic permits are available only for Thomas Richardson and Swenson Parks.

rental cancellation and refund policy

  • If cancellation is made with 30 days notice of the rental date, the full amount of the rental fee will be refunded less a 10% service charge (minimum $5, maximum $15) and the full deposit paid will also be refunded.
  • If cancellation is made with less than 30 days notice, the Park District will retain the rental fee paid and refund the deposit paid; this includes reservations made less than 30 days from the rental date.
  • Functions conducted in park district buildings must be in accordance with established rules and regulations which you will receive and sign at the time you pay your rental fee. Click here for a copy of the rental packet.
