central parkway bridge construction
The construction schedule for the Central Street Bridge project has been officially approved. Work is set to begin on August 4, 2025, and is expected to be completed by September 23, 2025, weather permitting. Key milestones include: early August: site mobilization, erosion control, and bridge demolition; mid to late August: installation of pilings, abutment framing, and grading for new paths; early September: bridge delivery and installation; mid-September: concrete work for the bridge deck and pathways; late September: final restoration and project completion. We appreciate your patience and support as we move forward with improving pedestrian connectivity in the community. Check back here for further updates as construction progresses. The pedestrian bridge that spans from Central Parkway (Raleigh Road) over the West Fork North Branch of the Chicago River is maintained by the Glenview Park District. The Park District will be replacing the bridge with support from a $225,500 “Invest in Cook” grant from the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways and $100,000 from the Village of Glenview.

sleepy hollow parking lot renovation
The Park District will be working on pavement renovations at Sleepy Hollow Park beginning on May 1st. The first phase will include concrete sidewalk and curb work. The second phase will include grinding down the existing parking lot asphalt and repaving it with new asphalt. Work is expected to take 2-3 weeks to complete and will be done on weekdays. The schedule is weather dependent, so any rain may cause delays.

splash landings renovation
UPDATE: Construction has been delayed as the Park District waits for required permits from the Illinois Department of Public Health. Splash Landings will remain open for Summer 2025. We will provide ongoing updates as the construction timeline is finalized. Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center at Park Center is undergoing a transformative renovation designed to enhance users’ experience. From new play features to improved and modernized facilities, this project will bring improved comfort, accessibility, and fun for everyone in the community.

glenview park golf club turf care center
GPGC is gearing up for a makeover for its maintenance building that was built in the 1960s. An all-new Turf Care Center has an anticipated completion date of Fall 2025. The new Turf Care Center is part of the golf course master plan and will be located in the same location as the current golf maintenance facility, located at 800 Rolling Pass. The old maintenance facility was demolished in late December to prepare for new construction.
