lessons & programs

The Glenview Tennis Club offers one of the North Shore’s most extensive and progressive lesson programs with classes for skill levels beginning to advanced and ages preschool through adult. Our experienced teaching staff customize their teaching styles to ensure all students get the most from their lesson experience. We pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know our students to assure that they are placed with the correct instructor who will meet their individual needs and set them up for success with the game. Tennis done right—at the Glenview Tennis Club!

Adult Group Lessons are available for beginners through advanced level players.  Daytime, evening and weekend options are available.

Start/Restart Tennis Program: The perfect program for adults looking to start playing tennis for the first time or wanting to get back on the court. Meet new people, learn the basics of tennis including forehand, backhand, serving and doubles play, and have fun.

Tennifit classes: We offer our unique Tennifit classes which provide a more strenuous workout to enhance your fitness level for on court play.

Junior Group Lesson Format: Our junior program starts with Quick Start Tennis for children ages 3-10. This format is designed to get your child playing tennis almost immediately with equipment, shorter court dimensions and low compression balls designed to fit kids. When your child is ready to play on a regulation sized court, class placement becomes based on age and ability. This program is part of Glenview Tennis Club’s Junior Tennis Pathway, which takes your child from Little Hitter to the Championship Training Academy.

Junior Match Play is offered on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons and gives juniors an opportunity to have an additional day of play during the week. It is open to anyone currently enrolled in junior group lessons Level II and up. The cost is included in your class fee. For further details, contact Junior Coordinator Andrew Hetsko at Andrew.Hetsko@GlenviewParks.org. See front desk for sign up details.

Private Lessons:  For more personalized instruction, GTC offers private and semi-private lessons.  If you have taken lessons in the past, please contact your favorite pro directly.
