The Tae Bo Takeover is Coming to Glenview
Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks is taking Tae Bo 2023 on tour across America beginning in the Midwest with a fitness residency at Park Center Health and Fitness on the weekends of May 5-7, and December 8-10.
Park Center Health and Fitness is the first location in the nation to host this residency with international health and wellness icon Billy Blanks—a living legend. With his enthusiastic teaching tyle and dedication to overall wellness, Blanks is devoted to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. During this series of classes and events, Blanks will motivate and inspire participants to create a path to wellness.
“We’re excited to welcome Billy Blanks back to Glenview and to give the community a one-of-a-kind opportunity to take classes and meet Billy,” said Kathleen McInnis, Park Center Heath and Fitness Manager. “Billy’s holistic approach to wellness is a great fit with the Park District’s mission, and his energy is contagious!”
The residency will offer an array of high-energy group fitness classes for teens and adults. Billy’s legendary Tae Bo workout is not all about physical training; his classes are designed to increase self-esteem and encourage positive mental health as well. Tae Bo is definitely a workout for the mind, body and spirit. Participants will enjoy a unique, challenging fitness experience that combines elements of dance, martial arts aerobics and boxing.
“Having a fitness residency is a dream come true for me,” said Blanks. “Come join us at Park Center for a workout weekend with me, and I will teach you to exercise your WILL as well as your body. A strong WILL can overcome and achieve anything!”
A number of VIP packages are available for purchase which include all three classes, a meet and greet with Billy Blanks and cool swag. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off the Midwest fitness residency at Park Center on Saturday, May 6, at 10 a.m.
