Restoration Work Day

Make a positive change by assisting in restoration efforts such as removing non-native plants or collecting seed. Please bring work gloves if you have them and wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Volunteers under 15 must participate with an adult. Registration is necessary.

Folk Fest

Local history comes to life at Folk Fest! Celebrate autumn at The Grove with folk music, hayrides and more. Shop unique items from local vendors and artisans. Dine on hearty pork and bean stew, corn, caramel apples, slices of pie, popcorn and apple cider in the outdoor dining hall (additional purchase required). Explore a Native American Indian longhouse, take in the fall colors on a nature walk along the picturesque trails and immerse yourself in the history of Glenview as costumed interpreters relive local history.

Get tickets online in advance and select your admission time: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 3 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and $1 for children under age 12. Admission increases the day of the event.

Treat your pup to some special Halloween treats and toys, while enjoying a drink from Tom’s Coffee Truck. Snap a photo in front of our spooky backdrop and participate in a costume contest for a chance to win a free dog park membership for next year!

Frozen Frights

What’s spooky, chilly and tons of fun? Glen-BOO Community Ice Center! Dress up in your costume and enjoy a Halloween-themed cosmic skate with special lights and glow sticks under the disco ball. The evening also features fun giveaways, Trunk or Treat in the parking lot, a costume contest and Ice Bumper Car rides in the Studio Rink.

 

Admission: Free with a Season Public Skate Pass or $10 per skater. Children 3 and under skate free with a paying adult.

 

Skates: $4, or FREE when you come dressed in costume

Bring work gloves if you have them. For families and individuals ages 8+. Volunteers under 15 must participate with an adult. Volunteers under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. To receive an application/waiver in advance please contact grove.volunteers@glenviewparks.org.
