Cops and Bobbers
This time, getting caught red-handed means reeling in the biggest fish! Join the Glenview Police Department for an afternoon of bobbers, bait and big catches. Police officers and park district staff will be on hand to help kids bait hooks, cast lines and reel in fish.
Prizes awarded for the biggest fish in each age group:
- 5 Years and under
- 6-8 Years
- 9-12 Years
- 13-15 Years
Bring your own gear and bait or borrow from our limited supply of free loaner poles and bait for purchase, while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Dress for the weather and come ready for a good time outdoors!

Folk Fest
Local history comes to life at Folk Fest! Celebrate autumn at The Grove with folk music, hayrides and more. Shop unique items from local vendors and artisans. Dine on hearty pork and bean stew, corn, caramel apples, slices of pie, popcorn and apple cider in the outdoor dining hall (additional purchase required). Explore a Native American Indian longhouse, take in the fall colors on a nature walk along the picturesque trails and immerse yourself in the history of Glenview as costumed interpreters relive local history.
Get tickets online in advance and select your admission time: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 3 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and $1 for children under age 12. Admission increases the day of the event.
