Indigenous Storytelling with Native American Indian Story Keeper Wamblee Loux

Join The Grove for an unforgettable experience that celebrates the wisdom, culture, and powerful oral traditions of Native American heritage as told by gifted storyteller Wamblee Loux.

Families and individuals are invited to stop by throughout the day to hear oral histories that have been preserved and passed down through generations. A brief pipe ceremony – a sacred ritual that connects the physical and spiritual worlds – will be held at noon.

Dress for the weather as this program will take place outside. You may bring seat cushions and/or portable chairs for your comfort. Please be respectful when arriving and departing. Sponsored by the Grove Heritage Association. Registration is not required.

Grove Literary Society

In the tradition of the original Grove Literary Society established by Robert Kennicott and his father Dr. John, The Grove Heritage Association hosts a new book club that focuses on books about the natural history to better understand where and how we live. Get Moving Glenview! Community Wellness Walk

Join park district staff and other community members and friends to go for a walk along the trails at The Grove. Walking has been linked to incredible physical and mental health benefits. What better way to get out and enjoy community and nature than to do it together. Meet at the Interpretive Center. Let’s get moving, Glenview!

Election Day

Park Center’s first floor mini gym will serve as a polling location for certain precincts on March 19. Parking is available in the front of the building; use the main middle entrance of the building.
