Easter Egg Delivery

Make the Easter season very special for the kids with a personal fed EGGS delivery from the Park District’s Bunny. Schedule your visit in advance and the Bunny will drop off twenty fun-filled eggs on your lawn or front door while the little ones watch all excited. The personal house visit includes the opportunity to take photos with the Bunny safely. There are six delivery slots available from 10:30 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Monday, March 29 through Thursday, April 1.

Seed Starting 101

Are you interested in growing your own vegetables from seed? Join us for this hands-on class to learn the necessary tools and techniques for lighting, temperature, transplanting and more. Participants will start actual seeds to bring home. Seed starting materials will be provided.

Slitherin' Snakes

Meet some common Illinois snakes and their babies, discover how they move, what they eat, and where to find them! Hands-on encounters and activities will help shed light on some of the common misconceptions about these legless wonders. Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register each family member separately.

Grove History Hike

The weather will be warming up in time for a one-hour guided walking hike. Experience nature and the beautiful historical buildings on foot while learning about The Grove’s history. The hike takes you to the Native American Indian Village, the Pioneer Log Cabin, the Blacksmith’s Shop and the historic Kennicott House. Dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Advance registration is required.

Wagon Rides at The Grove

• Get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. Experience the flora and fauna of The Grove from a wagon ride with your family and friends. Tractor pulled rides will take you on an enchanted trip through the woods and along the Grove prairie. Reserve a time block for your group of up to ten people – individual tickets are not available.

Glitzy Girlz Mom and Me Tea

For ages 3-10, get pampered with a spring make-over complete with hair flower, make-up and pretty nails. Each girl decorates a ceramic “tea pot” flower planter complete with paints, jewels and embellishments. Each girl also decorates a beautiful bracelet with a choice of assorted spring charms. Our class ends with a cute fashion show parents can attend! Additional children are $25 each.
