meet our swim instructors

Abby is a sophomore at Glenbrook North high school. Abby began working for the Glenview Park District team in the 2020. Before joining our team, she taught swim lesson for both Swim America and Learn to Swim Program. Abby has been swimming since she was 6 years old. When asked why she wanted to teach swim lessons, she responded with, “Swimming has brought me so much joy in my life and I would love to share that passion with kids”. Abby is capable of teaching all ages and level of swimmers. Abby is a great choice because of her passion for swimming, previous swim instructing experience and ability to make swim lessons fun for all.

Anna is a sophomore at Glenbrook South high school. Although Anna is new to the Glenview Park District team, she has been swim instructing for a few years. She taught swim lessons for both Swim America and the Learn to Swim Program. Anna has been competitively swimming since she was eight years old and is now a part of her high school and club swim team. Anna prides herself on being able to teach all ages and levels of swimmers. Incorporating her long-term swim experience and patience with kids, Anna sets a challenging and fun environment for swimmers.

Claire is a confident instructor who can teach all age groups. Claire is currently on the Glenbrook South swim team. Claire found her love for swimming at a young age and was competitively swimming by 8 years old. Before joining the Glenview Park District team, Claire gained experience teaching swim lessons through Glenbrook South’s previous Learn2Swim program and Swim America. She is a passionate swimmer who loves working with kids. As a swim instructor, Claire is most excited to help young kids find their own love and passion for swimming – just like she did. Claire is confident and comfortable teaching all levels of swim lessons.

Madeline is an exceptional swimmer and has been swimming since a young age. Madeline is a high school student at Glenbrook South. She has grown up swimming and is an exceptional swimmer! Madeline took swim lessons herself at Splash Landings and went on to join Glenview Titan Aquatic Club (GTAC) for several years. Madeline has prior experience teaching swim lessons at her sleep away camp. Madeline feels comfortable teaching all levels from preschool to stroke. Her favorite stroke to teach swimmers is the Butterfly. Madeline comes from a big gamily and loves to be around kids. She considers herself an expert in all things Harry Potter and Disney.

Molly is well known for making a connection with her swimmers. She has been competitive swimming since age 5 and has been certified to coach and teach swimming since she was 14. Molly graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with minors in Biology, Physics, and Math from Eckerd College, where she also participated in intermural swimming. In the past, she has been a preschool teacher and is currently and middle and high school teacher. Molly had been working at Splash Landings for the past few years and loves working with kids of all ages and levels, from basics to stroke technique. Molly was recently promoted to Swim Lesson Coordinator and is certified to train swim instructors through Starfish Aquatics Institute.

Peyton is currently a junior at Resurrection College Prep High School. She began swimming at an early age and has been competitively swimming for 3 years with her high school swim team. During her off-seasons, she has been a member of the water polo team for the past 2 years. As a member of the Resurrection swim team, her freshmen year, she made conference and was voted Most Improved Swimmer of the season. In her sophomore year, she made both conference and Sectionals and was voted MVP for Junior Varsity. This year, she made Conferences and Sectionals yet again, but swam for Varsity. Although she regularly practice all of the strokes, both breaststroke and freestyle are her strongest. She is very passionate about swimming and making every kid receives all they can from each of her lessons. She is very excited about getting the chance to work with families and improving their swimming skills!

Robert is a senior at Glenbrook South. He joined the Glenview Park District team as a swim instructor over 3 years ago. In those 3 years, he has grown to be one of our strongest, experienced and a well-rounded swim instructor. He has a strong background in swimming competitively as a member of Glenbrook South’s swim team as well as a private club team. Robert is fluent in Russian.
