Countryside Lane Park is a 4 acre park. A portion of the acreage was acquired in in 1950, one of four parks paid for out of proceeds of a 1950 bond issue of $175,000 1950. Additional acreage acquired in 1958 with a portion of proceeds of a $450,000 bond issue brought the total size of the park to 4 acres.
In December 1975, the voters of the District approved a general obligation bond issue in the amount of $450,000. A portion of this bond issue was used to finance construction of basketball courts at Countryside Lane Park.
