Golf Course Superintendent Todd Vermillion Talks Course Management
With more than 20 years of experience in course management, Golf Course Superintendent Todd Vermillion knows how to keep the conditions at Glenview Park Golf Club pristine. Todd received his Bachelor of Science in Turf Management in 2002 and spent 16 years maintaining and managing well-known and loved private clubs in Ohio and Illinois before coming to Glenview in 2017.
Following the major renovations at Glenview Park Golf Club in 2016, Todd was hired to ensure the new course was maintained at the highest levels for the Glenview community. An expert in his field, Todd has developed new course management processes using technology and equipment to create efficiency and cost savings in both labor and material resources.
“Our goal here at Glenview Park is to provide private club conditions and an exceptional golf experience here at our community club,” said Todd of his work. “We are continually working to identify projects to further enhance playing conditions at Glenview Park Golf Club and raise the overall course conditioning.”
Todd has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America for 20 years, which is an organization dedicated to advancing the profession, improving communities and serving as a global leader in golf course management. Recently, GCSAA selected Todd and the Glenview Park Golf Club to be featured in a video detailing our course management techniques and the benefits of using the most innovative and premium bentgrasses, which are used on our course.
