Glenview Park District Announces New Division Director of Special Revenue Facilities

After a month-long national search, The Glenview Park District announces Amy Murrin as its new Division Director of Special Revenue Facilities. In this role, Murrin will oversee operations at Park Center Health and Fitness, Glenview Community Ice Center, Glenview Park Golf Club, Prairie Club, and Glenview Tennis Club. Her term begins June 29.

Murrin has over 20 years of experience successfully managing various facilities, programs and services at several Chicagoland area Park Districts. Amy previously served as Director of Recreation at the Park District of Highland Park where she managed a $6 million budget and facilities, including the Recreation Center of Highland Park, Deer Creek Racquet Club, Hidden Creek Aqua Park, Rosewood Beach and Park Avenue Boating Facility. Amy was also the former Centennial Fitness Center Manager at Park Ridge Park District, and served as the Wellness Manager at Wheeling Park District.

“I have enjoyed the Glenview Park District’s recreational opportunities and facilities as a Glenview resident,” said Murrin. “Now I am excited to serve my community by supporting the Park District’s mission.”

Murrin holds a Bachelor Degree in Education and is working to complete her Master of Business Administration degree. Amy has completed the National Recreation and Park Association’s Directors School and is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional.

“Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and parks and recreation experience to our team,” said Executive Director Michael McCarty. “We look forward to welcoming her to the Park District staff.”
