Abby Tromer
Figure Skating Coach
Abby Tromer began figure skating at a young age through the ISI program and is passionate about building confidence, strong fundamentals, and artistry. She spent 10 years in Synchronized Skating, developing a strong appreciation for teamwork, precision, and performance. Abby is a Learn to Skate USA instructor and ISSA-certified personal training coach. She specializes in Learn to Skate, synchronized skating, choreography, and preparing skaters for performances, ice shows, and competitions. Abby believes every skater learns differently and tailors each lesson to their goals while creating a positive, supportive, and fun environment.
Becky Goldstein
Figure Skating Coach
Becky Goldstein brings more than 16 years of coaching experience and a passion for helping skaters of all abilities discover the joy of skating. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, Adult Skating, and Special Olympics/Adaptive Skating. Becky competed in both ISI and U.S. Figure Skating, achieving ISI Freestyle 8, Junior Moves in the Field, and Novice Free Skate. She competed collegiately at Miami University and holds certifications including ISI Gold Level Judge, CER Category A Coach, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and TRX Qualified Coach. Becky has coached programs including Northbrook Icette, Spartan Skaters, and SPICE through NSSRA.
Beth Krejnik
Figure Skating Coach
Beth Krejnik brings decades of skating and coaching experience and a passion for helping skaters grow on and off the ice. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, and Synchronized Skating. Beth trained at the Broadmoor World Arena, is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist, and performed professionally with Disney on Ice. She has coached regional and sectional singles skaters and National Gold Medalist synchronized skating teams. Beth continues to help skaters build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a lifelong love of skating.
Cindy Mikhail
Figure Skating Coach
With more than 40 years of coaching experience, Cindy Mikhail is dedicated to helping skaters build a lifelong love for the sport. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, and Adult Skating, supporting skaters from their first lessons through advanced testing. Cindy is a U.S. Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist in Free Skate, Figures, and Skating Skills. She earned four Regional Championship titles, a Southwestern Championship, and seven WIM championships from Juvenile through Junior Ladies. A member of the Chicago Figure Skating Club, Cindy brings decades of knowledge, encouragement, and passion to every lesson.
Jessica Young
Figure Skating Coach
Jessica Young has more than 15 years of coaching experience in Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, Adult Skating, and Special Olympics/Adaptive Skating. As a competitive figure skater, Jessica earned bronze medals at the 2012 and 2013 Upper Great Lakes Regional Championships in Senior Ladies and competed at both Midwestern Sectional Championships. She also competed in the U.S. Collegiate Championships and is a U.S. Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist in Free Skate and Moves in the Field. A member of U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA, Jessica is dedicated to helping every skater develop strong technique and grow on and off the ice.
Izzy Harp
Figure Skating Coach
Izzy Harp is passionate about helping skaters build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a lifelong love for figure skating. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, and Moves in the Field. Izzy is currently a member of Northwestern University’s Figure Skating Team and has qualified for the U.S. Figure Skating Excel National Final twice, earning a national medal. She is also a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field. As a member of U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA, Izzy enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with skaters of all ages and abilities.
Josh Fischel
Figure Skating Coach
Josh Fischel brings more than 16 years of coaching experience and a passion for developing skaters at every level. He coaches Learn to Skate, Basic Skills, Free Skate, Skating Skills, choreography, Excel, and Qualifying Levels of NQS. A U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Free Skate and Skating Skills, Josh competed at two Junior Olympics and earned a bronze medal. His athletes have reached U.S. National Championships, Sectional Championships, the National Excel Final, and the Illinois Compete USA Series. He has also served as faculty and a presenter for the National High-Performance Development Camp (2021–2026) and National Summit. Josh received the 2025 Coach I.C.E. Impact Award for Community and the Developmental Coach of the Year Award. A member of U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA, Josh inspires skaters through technical excellence, creativity, and a lifelong love of skating.
Julia Meltzer Fennell
Figure Skating Coach
Julia Meltzer Fennell brings more than 15 years of skating experience and a passion for helping every skater succeed. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, Adult Skating, Special Olympics/Adaptive Skating, Collegiate Skating, choreography, and show skating. In the U.S., she is a four-time U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Free Skate, Pairs, Solo Free Dance, and Skating Skills, as well as a three-time regional medalist. Julia also represents Israel internationally and is a three-time Israeli National Senior Ladies medalist. She creates a positive, motivating environment where skaters build confidence, strengthen technique, and develop a lifelong love of skating.
Leslie Kirchler-Owen
Figure Skating Coach
Leslie Kirchler-Owen brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and a lifelong connection to the Glenview skating community. She coaches Learn to Skate and Adult Skating, helping skaters of all ages build confidence in a welcoming environment. Leslie grew up in Glenview’s ISIA (now ISI) program and was a member of the Mini Blades, Junior Blades, and Silver Blades synchronized skating teams. She competed locally and nationally, performed as a soloist in Glenview ice shows, and began ice dancing in high school. A multi-sport athlete, Leslie earned her club colours for women’s football (soccer) at the University of Sheffield in England and competed with the University of Michigan Ballroom Dance team. She has coached at Cornell University, the University of Michigan, Ithaca Ice Center, and Ann Arbor Park District before returning to the Glenview Park District in 2005.
Lexi Gasparotto
Figure Skating Coach
Coach Lexi has been skating for 19 years, beginning at age four in Canton, Michigan, alongside many Olympic figure skaters. She currently represents the National Team internationally while training under Olympic coaches. Lexi was a Regional Champion in 2016 and 2019, a Sectional Silver Medalist in 2023, a Tayside Trophy International Silver Medalist in 2025, a two-time National Competitor, and the eighth U.S. woman to land a triple axel in competition. She has also received the Carol Heiss and Hayes Alan Jenkins Award and Tai Babilonia Award and won the Mabel Fairbanks Skatingly Yours Fund scholarship. Lexi emphasizes hard work, technical development, and breaking down skills in a fun, stress-free environment while reminding skaters to never lose sight of why they skate: because they love the sport!
Magda Zymon
Figure Skating Coach
Magda Zymon brings a passion for figure skating and helping skaters of all ages build confidence. She has competed for more than 10 years and currently skates at the Masters Junior-Senior level. Magda is also a U.S. Figure Skating Silver Medalist in Skating Skills and Freestyle. She began coaching with the Rolling Meadows Park District before joining Glenview, where she teaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, and Adult Skating. As a member of the Chicago Figure Skating Club, Magda is passionate about helping skaters develop a lifelong love for skating.
Mirae Mastrolonardo
Figure Skating Coach
Mirae Mastrolonardo combines high-level skating experience with a background in sports performance to help athletes reach their goals. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, Adult Skating, Speed Skating, and Strength & Conditioning, emphasizing technique, athletic development, and injury prevention. A two-time U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Skating Skills and Free Skate, Mirae was also a collegiate skater at Marquette University. She has competed in long-track speed skating as a U.S. Speed Skating American Cup qualifier and trained under four former Olympic athletes across both skating disciplines. Mirae holds a degree in Exercise Physiology and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), bringing a well-rounded approach to developing confident, successful skaters.
Nicole Maguire
Figure Skating Coach
With more than 20 years on the ice, Nicole Maguire brings competitive experience and a drive to help skaters reach their full potential. She coaches Moves in the Field, Synchronized Skating, and Free Skate. Nicole earned multiple national medals with the Starlights Synchronized Skating Teams before winning three Intercollegiate National silver medals in ice dance at the University of Delaware. She serves as Coordinator and Coach of the Glenview Blades synchronized skating program and is dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging environment where every skater can thrive on and off the ice.
Savannah Paisley
Figure Skating Coach
Savannah Paisley brings 13 years of skating experience and five years of coaching experience to the ice. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, and Synchronized Skating, creating an encouraging environment where skaters develop strong fundamentals. Savannah began skating at the Glenview Community Ice Center and competed on the Glenview Blades Preliminary and Open Juvenile synchronized skating teams for four seasons. She continued with the Starlights Synchronized Skating teams, becoming a national pewter medalist in 2020. Savannah also served as Camp Ice Cool Director from 2021–2024, helping introduce young skaters to the sport in a fun and supportive setting.
Shelly Perrone
Figure Skating Coach
Shelly Perrone brings more than 40 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for figure skating. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, and Adult Skating, helping skaters build confidence while reaching their individual goals. Shelly trained in Colorado under renowned World and Olympic coaches Carlo and Christa Fassi and competed in multiple regional championships. She is a U.S. Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist in Figures and Freeskate and has guided numerous skaters to U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medals in Skating Skills and Freeskate. Shelly brings excellence, passion, and a love of skating to every lesson.
Toni Wright
Figure Skating Coach
With more than 16 years of coaching experience, Toni Wright brings knowledge, technical expertise, and passion to every lesson. A Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Pre-Gold Freestyle, and Third Figure, Toni trained with nationally and internationally recognized coaches during her competitive career. She also studied flamenco dance in Madrid, Spain, bringing a unique blend of technique and artistry to her coaching. Toni has guided skaters through Gold Medal tests, regional competitions, Excel Series Finals, and National Showcase events. A member of U.S. Figure Skating Coach I.C.E. and ISI, she is dedicated to helping every skater succeed.
Olivia Dussel
Figure Skating Coach
Olivia Dussel brings more than a decade of coaching experience and a well-rounded competitive background to every lesson. She coaches Learn to Skate, Free Skate, Moves in the Field, and Synchronized Skating. Olivia is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and competed locally, nationally, and internationally, representing Team USA for three seasons with the Chicago Jazz Synchronized Skating Teams. She continued skating with the University of Kentucky’s collegiate figure skating team, where she also served as Competition Chair. Olivia has coached Moves in the Field and Freestyle testing, developed synchronized skating athletes, and choreographed programs for individual skaters, teams, collegiate ice shows, and summer performances. She is committed to professional growth and bringing both technical knowledge and creativity to the sport.
Yianna Drossos
Figure Skating Coach
Yianna Drossos discovered her passion for skating at a young age and, after 13 years on the ice, enjoys passing that passion on to the next generation. As a Learn to Skate coach, Yianna creates a positive, encouraging environment where beginners build confidence and strong skating fundamentals. She has tested through Junior Moves in the Field and currently performs with Symmetry Ice Theatre’s Novice Theatre on Ice team based out of Skokie Stadium. Yianna is also passionate about choreography and enjoys helping every skater feel supported, challenged, and excited to grow.
