Park Center Job Fair

We’re Hiring! We’d love to have you on our team! We have several full and part time opportunities. We offer competitive wages starting between $14-$18/hr and special internal benefits. Grove Literary Society

In the tradition of the original Grove Literary Society established by Robert Kennicott and his father Dr. John, The Grove Heritage Association hosts a new book club that focuses on books about the natural history of the Chicagoland area to better understand where and how we live. Their first book is A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold. The group will discuss selected chapters each month.

The Spring Scurry

Calling all skaters who want to skate fast, cheer on teammates and skate with new friends! Join the Glenview Community Ice Center in partnership with Northbrook Speed Skating Club, for a cross-divisional, introductory-level, on-ice speed skating style race. Figure skaters, hockey players, and speed skaters are welcome.

Skaters must bring and wear a bike helmet, speed skating helmet, or hockey helmet. Rental speed skates, figure skates or youth hockey skates are available and included at no additional cost.

Registered participants will be grouped in races by skating level. Race length will range from one lap (for beginner skaters) to five-seven laps (intermediate or advanced skaters) depending on registration. A race schedule will be shared at least one week prior to the event. All participants will be scheduled for at least three race opportunities depending on skating level, are provided a t-shirt, and receive an award. There is a maximum of five skaters per race group.

Skaters should register by skater type (hockey, figure skater, speed skater)
Registration deadline: Friday, April 7.

Open House on Planned Park Center Renovations

Join us for an open house to provide public feedback on recommended facility upgrades to Park Center, including:

• Adding new aquatics features and amenities such an indoor water ninja course and water play elements, improving accessibility, and adding isolated temperature controls for enhanced lap swimming and expanded programming
• Updating the East Wing, including the Lakeview Room and adjacent outdoor patio, to expand programming, expand functionality and include integrated technology

Wildlife Heroes - How to Help Animals in Need

Ages 8+
Join The Grove’s Animal Care Team in the Program Barn as they teach us about wildlife rehabilitation and how to provide aid to injured, orphaned, displaced, or distressed wild animals we may find in and around our homes. Free, but registration is requested.
