Camp REC School Days Off follows the District 34 student non-attendance days. Children from area schools are also welcome to participate on these days if they are not in school.

Hunt for leprechaun gold between tanks, under animal displays and throughout the Interpretive Center. Collect clues to decode the location of our leprechaun’s gold and collect your treasure. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults register separately.

Hot Cocoa Hike
On the first day of Spring Break, join us for a hike on the Grove trails around the Interpretive Center pond and through the woodland. Enjoy a nice hot cup of cocoa while learning how animals survive our cold Illinois winter. Look for signs that they are emerging from hibernation or migrating back home from their trip south. Dress for the weather. Advance registration and minimum number of participants required. Adults and children register separately. Hike leaves from the Interpretive Center.
