Set off on a guided tour to meet our nocturnal and crepuscular creatures. Discover the amazing adaptations of nocturnal animals and see the nature center come alive in a whole new light. 10-11 a.m. at The Grove • (4+ Years plus Adult) Learn about spiders, snakes, and other “spooky” animals that make the prairie their home. We’ll search the trails for signs of all these animals and learn about how they are getting ready for winter. Participants must be accompanied by an adult. 5:30-7 p.m. at The Grove • (5-8 Years) Take a closer look at the wild world of decomposition! This fun hike turns gross into great as we explore through hands-on activities how dead things break down and feed the forest. We’ll discover nature’s recyclers—fungi, insects, and bacteria—and learn how decay helps keep the forest alive. Fee: R/NR $10/12

6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Grove • Gather around the fire this Halloween season for Hops & Haunts—a chillingly fun night out for adults.
