Halloween is not until the end of October but why not celebrate all season long at the Park District! We have a variety of fa-BOO-lous events and programs for you and your families to enjoy. October 18, 5:30-8 p.m.

Get in the Halloween spirit with our family-friendly Halloween party! Join us inside for inflatables, DJ, face painting, creepy crafts, a new trick-or-treating route and more! Outside, there will be ghoulish games, entertainment and cozy hayrides around Gallery Park (weather permitting). Costumes are encouraged. The event is designed for ages 2-12 years old; parents must accompany their children.

Learn about spiders, snakes and other “spooky” animals that make the prairie their home. We’ll search the trail for signs of all these animals and learn about how they are getting ready for winter. Participants must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 4 years and older.

Join the Glenview Community Ice Center for a special evening public session with a Halloween theme, open to all. Dress up in your costume and enjoy a cosmic skate with special lights and glow sticks under the disco ball from 8:30-9:50 p.m. Other activities include:

  • Giveaways
  • Trunk or Treat (7-9 p.m., Parking Lot)
  • Costume contest
  • Ice Bumper Car rides (8-9:30 p.m., Studio Rink)

Admission is free with a season skate pass or $10 per skater. Children ages 5 and under skate free with a paying adult.
Skate rental is $4 per skater. Dress in a costume for FREE skate rental.

Wear your favorite costume and join the farm for a kid-friendly bash that includes a haunted wagon ride, pumpkin games and more spooky fun. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. This event takes place rain or shine. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Admission is $10 per person; children under age 2 are free. There are limited quantities so buy your tickets today!

Wear your costume and take a journey along the haunted paths at The Grove on the spookiest night of the year! Collect candy and prizes at different entertaining and interactive stations from frightfully-fun characters. Trick or treat at all nine doors of the Historic 1856 Kennicott House and throughout The Grove. Encounter live critters and take home a pumpkin. This program combines the make-believe, spooky fun of Halloween with the beauty of nighttime nature to create an enjoyable event the entire family can appreciate.

Tickets are $12 per person when purchased in advance; $18 per person day of and at the door. Limited tickets will be available, so best to purchase in advance! Adults not participating in trick-or-treating do not need to pay or register. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
