1920s Silent Film Night featuring Comedy Shorts

Enjoy a special screening of 1920s silent film favorites featuring legendary performers like Buster Keaton and Laurel and Hardy. Popcorn and a brief educational commentary included.

Avoca West- Park Planning Meeting

The Glenview Park District invites you to share your input on proposed concepts for a new neighborhood park. The District recently purchased a 1-acre parcel from Avoca West Elementary School, located at the southwest corner of the property, and is considering a “Tot Lot” featuring play equipment for young children along with a pathway and seating. Join us at Avoca West Elementary School, 235 Beech Drive, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM. A brief presentation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by time to review plans, ask questions, and share your thoughts. If you cannot attend, you may email comments to Ken.Wexler@glenviewparks.org.

Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate the Earth and learn more about ways to improve our impact on the world. Experts in conservation and sustainability will be onsite with information for visitors, as well as free family activities and trail walks.

Free Sapling Giveaway
Plant a new tree in your yard this spring! Visitors can pick up a free sapling at the event while supplies last. Trees help clean the air, support biodiversity, and provide important habitats for birds, insects, and other wildlife.

Have old fluorescent bulbs at home? Bring them along!
From 10 a.m.-1 p.m. watch as old light bulbs are safely recycled by our Bulb Eater.

The Revolutionists

The Grove is proud to bring The Revolutionists to Glenview! A spirited, comedic play by Lauren Gunderson that shines a spotlight on the bold women of the French Revolution.

Take your seat for The Revolutionists, a witty and powerful play by Lauren Gunderson, that invites you to experience history from a female perspective. As the historic home of 1800s actor Flint Kennicott and his brilliant, educated sisters, Cora and Alice, The Grove celebrates stories of courage, creativity and women who challenged the expectations of their time.

Fish Release Day

Make a splash in the environment as you help us restock Lake Glenview. You’ll get a bucket of native fish to send down a slide right into their new home! It’s hands-on, a little splashy and o-fish-ally one of the most fun ways to give back to nature. The best part? This fin-tastic fun is free!

Live fish and buckets will be provided, while supplies last. All ages are welcome. Dress for the weather and for wet conditions.

Meet at the Lake Glenview Boat Launch area. Parking is available in the lots along West Lake Ave. (between Patriot Blvd. and Lehigh Ave.) The boat launch is accessible from either lot via gravel paths.

Baked goods and hot beverages will be available for purchase while you wait, courtesy of Glenview Sunrise Rotary Club.

The Glenview Park District presents this event in partnership with Glenview Sunrise Rotary Club and the Village of Glenview.

Get Your Historic Wagner Farm’s 2026 CSA Membership!

For the 8th year, Historic Wagner Farm is pleased to offer shares in its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
 
As a CSA member, you will receive different varieties of produce each week from end of June to early October.  At Wagner Farm we grow over 100 different varieties of fruits and vegetables, and each basket will be filled with our high quality, seasonal produce.

Restoration Work Day- ASP Winter 2026

Assist in the restoration efforts at Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie by helping with a variety of restoration activities such as removing non-native invasive plants or collecting seed. Bring work gloves if you have them. For families and individuals ages 8+. Volunteers under 15 must participate with an adult. Volunteers under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
