Grove Arrival Day

This free event celebrates the anniversary of the day the pioneering Kennicott family first arrived at The Grove. Meet costumed interpreters and discover what life was like in 1836. For information call 847-299-6096.

Spring Restoration Work Day at The Grove

Join us as we work to restore the native habitat at The Grove. Collect seeds or remove non-native, invasive plants to make way for native wildflowers, grasses and trees. Bring your work gloves, if you have them, and meet at the Interpretive Center.

Registration is required for this event. Email groverestoration@glenviewparks.org to register and for more information. Work parties may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

For ages 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

ZIP, WOOSH and GLIDE on over to Glenview Community Ice Center on Saturday, March 29 for a super public skate. Dress like your favorite superhero and show off your super powers on the ice.

$4 skates, or use your season pass. Children ages 5 and under skate free with a paying adult.

Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate the Earth and learn more about ways to improve our impact on the world. Experts in conservation and sustainability will be onsite with information for visitors, as well as free family activities and trail walks. Call 847-299-6096 for more information.

Bunny Hop Skate

Join us for a hoppin’ good time at Glenview Community Ice Center for a special public skate and visit from the bunny. Welcome the spring season with some bunny-approved fun on the ice!

$4 skates or free with a non-perishable food donation. Children ages 5 and under skate free with a paying adult.

Jammin' 5K/10K & Foam Frenzy ½ Mile Fun Run

Rock out and run at the Jammin’ 5K/10K! This exciting timed event, for ages 10 and up, has live music at every mile. Whether you’re participating for a personal best or simply enjoying the vibe, this will be an unforgettable celebration of music, movement and community.

Younger runners, 5-12 years and kids under 5 with an adult, can take on the Foam Frenzy Fun Run­—a half mile FUN RUN with a foam frenzy finish where you’ll stride through the suds!

After crossing the finish line, stick around for the ultimate afterparty. Enjoy a foam party, live local music, light refreshments, and an award ceremony for 5K/10k participants.
