School’s out, adventure is in! Discover everything The Grove has to offer! Each day has a different theme. Learn about our world through exploration, critter encounters, hikes, crafts, and more. Join us for one or all five days of spring break fun! Please make sure to dress appropriately for the weather as a large portion of this program will be outdoors. This is a drop off program and a daily snack is included. Register by the day.
We’ll be cooking and crafting up lots of fun during spring break! Each day will feature a different cooking or craft activity. Register by the day.
Monday: Eggs-quisite Eggs – Learn all about eggs as we cook up some delicious egg-based recipes and meet the hens that lay our featured ingredient.
Tuesday: Buggin’ Out – Discover the importance and dangers of insects on a farm as we search for bugs and make some out of recycled materials.
Wednesday: Eco Prints – Explore the diverse shapes and patterns of things that grown on a farm and create a beautiful print using produce.
Thursday: Bees and Cheese – Honey and cheese is a tasty combo! We’ll whip up a delicious ricotta, learn all about bees and honey and then enjoy a snack of honey and cheese.
Friday: Springtime Snacks – Nothing beats those first, fresh from the garden bites of springtime produce! We’ll get a jump on the season as we explore recipes and tasty treats made from produce that emerges in the spring.
Camp REC is ready to keep your child active and entertained on days when School District 34 is not in session!
The Glenview Park District, in collaboration with Wesley Child Care, offers a full day of fun and enriching activities for grades K-6 on days when there is no school. Children will enjoy indoor and outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts, possible field trips to park district locations, special program activities/presentations playing with friends and much more. Lunch and snacks are provided at no extra cost. Participants may bring their own lunch if they would prefer, and must bring their own lunch if registering less than 7 days prior to the day of the program.
This program follows the District 34 student non-attendance days, however children from area schools are also welcome to participate on these days if they are not in school. Registration deadline is one week prior. No refunds issued after that date. Register by the day.
In this 5-day camp, your child will learn how to take care of common household pets and pretend to be a veterinarian in our play animal hospital. Participants will learn about a different pet each day. At the end of the week, they will take home a new pretend pet and habitat that they create themselves. A snack will be provided.
This camp focuses on a variety of sports including flag football, basketball, baseball, kickball, soccer, capture the flag, and other group games. Each day camper’s focus on skill development and fundamentals for each respective sport, followed by game play. Coaches ensure a fun and energetic atmosphere while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Spend your Monday and Tuesday of Spring Break sharpening your on-ice and off-ice skills as well as participate in other activities, including crafts and games in this two-day camp.
Get some great exercise, learn fun skating skills and make new friends. Designed for new skaters who have never taken a skating class. Rental skates are included.
Not going anywhere warm this spring break? You can still have a blast in the pool here at home! Splish and splash at the Splash Landings activity pool, sloping from zero depth to 3 ½ feet with an air traffic control tower-themed waterslide and interactive water play features.
