Spring 2012 Softball
It’s time to think about dusting off those cleats and getting ready for another exciting spring The Glenview park District fields leagues for girls in grades 3 through 8. Younger girls can get in on the action too with a 1st & 2nd grade league just for them!
Girls 3rd-8th Grade Softball
Weekday games are played in the evening at Roosevelt Park and Saturday games are played at Community Park West. All leagues are coached by volunteers. Players should be prepared to practice once a week at the discretion of the coach. Girls must have their own softball glove.
3rd & 4th GRADERS play in a combined league with a 10 game season. Games on Wednesday nights and Saturdays, late morning.
5th & 6th GRADERS play in a combined league with a 10 game season + tournament. Games on Monday nights and Saturdays, late morning/early afternoon.
7th & 8th GRADERS play in a combined league with a 10 game season + tournament. Games on Tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons.

Girls 1st & 2nd Grade Softball
Designed to introduce younger girls to the game of softball in a fun, less competitive environment, girls are coached by parent volunteers and play Saturday mornings. (Rainouts could be made up during the week.) Teams practice for the first two weeks and follow a game schedule for the final six weeks. Scores, strikes and outs will not be recorded as every girl gets to bat each inning. Coaches will pitch and umpire. Each practice and game will last one hour and will finish before AYSO games begin. Girls must have their own softball glove.

Refund Policy for Youth Leagues
Refunds will be granted less a 10% cancellation fee until teams are formed. After teams are formed, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. After games are scheduled to begin there will be no refund.
NOTE: Once teams are formed players cannot switch teams.
Spring 2012 Lacrosse
Boys Program – Jr. Titan Boys Lacrosse
Jr. Titan Lacrosse is a north shore based program coached by Glenbrook South boys varsity head coach, Steven Brooks, and affiliated with Team ONE Lacrosse. The goal is to provide the optimal lacrosse opportunity for a player to develop physical, mental and emotional growth on and off the playing field. Teams will be determined after player evaluations and will participate in the North Shore Lacrosse League with games on Sundays in surrounding communities. All players must have the following equipment at all practices and games: stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves, athletic cup, mouth guard and water bottle. Jerseys are included with the registration fee and will be handed out at practice. An informational meeting will be scheduled prior to the start of the season. Girls Program – Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association (IGLA)
Be a part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls from Glenview, Kenilworth, Glencoe, Wilmette, Winnetka, Northfield, Evanston, Northbrook and Highland Park. This is a grade school and middle school league run by women in lacrosse who want to help girls reach their potential in a fun and safe environment. The emphasis of this program is to develop the girls within the sport of lacrosse. The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship and fostering personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players will receive equal playing time and will be played in all positions. Practices will be one day a week for 1 1/2 hours. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at various locations. Team jerseys will be provided and should be worn to all games. Go to iglax.org and click on the Get Ready to Play tab to fill out the participant information. Each player must have goggles, a stick and a mouth guard.
