Youth Sport Leagues
The Glenview Park District’s youth sports leagues stress participation, recreation and skill development. The park district offers Flag Football for grades 2-5 and Volleyball for grades 5-8 in the Fall, Basketball for grades 1-8 in the Winter, a Softball program for girls in grades 1-8 and Lacrosse for girls grades 3-9 and boys grades 2-8 in the Fall and Spring. Many of our leagues feature Early Bird Sign-up Discounts! Check them out!
Winter 2013
HOUSE BASKETBALL LEAGUES
1st & 2nd Grade School Basketball League
This program is designed as a lead-in to our grade school league program. Each player is assigne to a team that is run by a volunteer coach. Team rosters will be given to coaches the week prior to winter brak. Coaches will contact players about team placement and season schedule by January 7. Coaches will run practices on January 13 & 20. Starting January 27, an eight week game schedule will begin. During the hour games are scheduled there will be a 20 minute practice and 40 minute game. Games will be refereed; no scores will be kept. Grades will play separately, but may be combined if there is low enrollment. Fee includes team jersey.
NEW! Players may now make a reciprocal friendship request! Requests MUST be reciprocal. Any requests for more than 1 friend OR requests that are not reciprocal will not be considered. In the instance where players are on the same team because parents are coaching together, additional requests cannot be made. Final League Deadline is Mon., Nov. 19, 7:30 pm; regular registration fee is $100 for residents and $125for nonresidents.

Tournament games will be played starting the week of March 18.
Refund Policy for Youth Leagues
Refunds will be granted less a 10% cancellation fee until teams are formed. After teams are formed, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. After games are scheduled to begin there will be no refund.
NOTE: Once teams are formed players cannot switch teams.
Spring Basketball League for Boys and Girls
Form your own team for this exciting league. Participants play in a six-game season starting ine early April-May. Practices are included in the program. A volunteer coach is required to help with team organization and to communicate with the park district. Look for more information here in the park district Spring 2013 Guide being mailed to residents Feb. 23.

Boys Lacrosse for grades 3-8
Jr. Titan Lacrosse is a north shore based program affiliated with Youth Team ONE (YTO). The mission of YTO is to facilitate growth of Lacrosse Illinois by providing entry and intermediate level opportunities to both players and coaches. Games are played on Sunday.
Girls Lacrosse for grades 1-8
Be a part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls from Chicago, the north, northwest, west and south suburbs. Emphasis is to develop the girl within the sport of lacrosse. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at various north/northwest locations.
Girls Softball for grades 1-8
