Splash Landings Pool Rules

Splash Landings Public Swim Rules & Regulations

  • Children under the age of 9 must be supervised by an adult at least 16 years of age or older. This adult must be in proper swim attire and within arm’s reach of the child at all times.
  • Children who are not potty trained must wear tightly fitted rubber pants in the pool.  Diapers are not allowed.  Adults with medical conditions will be requested by the Illinois State Health Code to wear tightly fitted rubber pants.
  • Proper swim attire for all patrons, both child and adult, is required in the pool.
  • Food or drinks are not allowed on the pool decks.
  • Strollers are allowed on the pool deck in the locked position onlyand must be positioned closest to the deck benches.
  • If there is defecation, vomit or other blood-borne pathogens in the pool, staff will close down the affected pool for a minimum of 45 minutes.
  • Admission is free for children 23 months old and younger. All Splash Landings users 2 years old and above must pay the daily fee or have an annual Splash Landings pool pass or punch card.
  • Please bring your own towel and lock daily

Lap Swim Rules & Regulations

  • Only persons 13 yrs. of age and older with a valid ID can use the lap lanes during designated lap swim hours.
  • Lane speed markers will be placed at the end of each lane. For your own safety, please swim in the lane that applies to your speed and ability.
  • Continuous circle swimming must take place in designated lap swim lanes that have speed markers.
  • Kickboards, pullbouys, flippers, and plastic facemasks may be used in the lap lanes.
  • Instruction may not be given in lap lanes.
  • Lifeguards on duty have the authority to enforce rules, move swimmers into correct lanes based on swimming speeds and to implement circle swimming.

Warm Water Therapy Rules & Regulations

  • During times not listed for the Warm Water Therapy Pool, NorthShore University Health System has exclusive usage of the Warm Water Therapy Pool. All use during NorthShore University Health System times must be scheduled through the NorthShore University Health System located in the Park Center main lobby.
  • Guests utilizing this pool must be 18 years of age or older. Therapy sessions with a specialized NorthShore or NSSRA instructor may use the pool with participants under the age of 18 with special needs. During designated public WWT pool hours, children with a physician’s note identifying use of the pool for therapy needs may use the pool, but must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
  • Persons using this pool must use it for therapeutic purposes only. Unacceptable behavior consists of lap swimming, jumping into the pool, and horseplay.
  • Adults with medical conditions are required by the IL State Health Code to wear tightly fitted rubber pants.

Spa Rules & Regulations

  • Persons using this facility must be 18 years of age to enter.
  • Persons should not use the spa while pregnant or on medications. Persons suffering from high or low blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease should not use the spa.
  • For safety reasons, recommended use is 15 minutes.
  • Food or drinks are not allowed.
