Below is general information about events held at Park Center throughout the year.

Flying for Kids Kite Day

Saturday, June 2, 10 am-4 pm

Children and families bring your kites, demonstrate your flying abilities and get some high-flying tips. No advance registration necessary. “Make Your Own Kite” kits available for purchase for $2/kit.

Antique & Collectible Sale

Summer 2012

Discover a treasure trove of unique items sure to bring back childhood memories at this annual sale. Items may include:

Proceeds go to the Glenview Senior Center.

Halloween Spooktacular

Fall 2012

Halloween fun for youngsters age 2 and up! Costumed characters, entertainment, crafts, pumpkin hunt, costume contest, face painting, giant inflatables in the gym, and food available for purchase. Put on your costume and join us for an evening of fun! (Activities not suitable for children younger than 2 years old.) Parents must accompany children.

Parent-Child Turkey Shoot

November 2012

Parents and children, team up to win a Thanksgiving turkey with some sharp basketball shooting. Each competitor tries 10 free throws and the pair with the highest total wins. Age levels: 4 & 5 years, 6 & 7 years, 8 & 9 years, 10 & 11 years, 12 & 13 years.

Happy “Noon Year” Party

December 31, 2012, 10 am-noon

Can’t make it until midnight? Kids ages 3-9 and their parents can celebrate the “Noon Year” instead!

  • Make crafts and play games to ring in the New Year in the Cultural Arts Wing
  • Bounce on inflatables in the Mini-Gym
  • End the morning with a balloon drop in the main lobby at noon!

Preregistration required. Last year’s event was completely sold out.

Please note: A parent does not need to register but must accompany their child to this event.

Kiddie Gras

February 2013

Kiddie Gras is back and better than ever! This year, we have added some fun crafts, games, bouncers and activities to keep everyone excited about the Cajun celebration. This year’s celebration will end with a Cajun friendly meal (chicken, macaroni, muffins, salad, and more!), music and a mini balloon drop to end the evening. Please note: Children should register for Section A ($6); adults should register for Section B ($8). Children under 2 are free.

Princess Ball

February 2013

A night to remember for you and your little princess. The royal ball will include music, dancing and refreshments. You and your date will wish the night never ends. For girls ages 4-12 and their special dates.
