- A large zero-depth play pool with interactive spray play features and a tropical garden play structure, a favorite of the younger grade school crowd
- A high-energy, interactive spray play area with our custom-designed water cannon game and two giant water flume slides providing hours of fun for tweens and teens
- A diving well with two drop slides and a three meter and one meter diving board
- A 25-yard, eight-lane lap/activity pool where Mom, Dad or the grandparents can swim laps or relax in a special area reserved for adults

Play It Safe: New Safety Regulations at Glenview’s Outdoor Pools
Glenview’s outdoor pools are great places for summer fun and active recreation! For everybody’s health, safety, and protection, we ask our guests to observe the following new rules (For a complete list of the 2013 Outdoor Pool Regulations, click here.
What to Bring & What to Leave at Home
All flotation devices must be “Coast Guard Approved”. Non-Coast Guard approved items include water wings, inner tubes, rafts, noodles, infant play-time inner tubes and flotation suits. Please do not bring these items into the facility.
Swimming accessories (beach balls, water pails, toys, etc.) will be allowed at the discretion of the manager in designated areas only. Even approved items may be removed from the water if attendance does not permit for safe conditions.
Kickboards, pull-buoys, fins, snorkels, and diving rings/sticks are meant for swim instruction and may only be utilized by lap swimmers or Glenview Park District Staff.
Face masks and goggles containing glass lenses are not allowed.
Playing It Safe

Only soft spandex based objects are permitted to be thrown (i.e. balls, water frisbees, etc.). Prohibited items include: tennis balls, footballs, and other items with a firm exterior.
Outside Groups
Outside camps & other groups are not permitted during Public Swim Hours at either Flick or Roosevelt Pools, but may rent either facility during morning Private / Semi-Private Times. Only Glenview Park District camps will be allowed during Public Session.
All members of the camp/group are required to go through a swim assessment, administered onsite by pool staff (see swim testing, below).
Swim Testing (for all groups, camps, rentals & birthday parties)
Every group is required to have their activity participants swim tested. These free assessments are administered onsite by pool staff. Each facility has designated swim areas for proficient swimmers as well as weaker/non-swimmers. Participants who do not successfully complete the assessment will only be limited to certain areas, must wear a wristband and must wear a fitted lifejacket when they are in or by the pool. Coast Guard approved lifejackets in a variety of sizes are available at each facility for patron use.
